Tin Print Toner

Tin toner will produce a purplish black color on bromide prints and sepia tones on chloride prints. Prints must be intially bleached.

BLEACH SOLUTION
Chemical Amount Units
Potassium Ferricyanide 75 g
Potassium Bromide 75 g
Water to make 1000 ml

TONING SOLUTION
Chemical Amount Units
Stannous Chloride 10 g
Water 100 ml
Potassium Hydroxide, 10% solution 10 ml
Water 80 ml

MIXING THE TONING SOLUTION
Add 100ml of water to the Stannous Chloride, then add the 10% Potassium Hydroxide solution and agitate until the precipitate is dissolved. Then add 80ml of water.
